eagle vision.
Desmond has this nifty ability dubbed Eagle Vision, which among its various uses, allows him to identify people's alignments by lighting them in different colored auras that identify them as Enemies, Informants, Allies or Targets.
Allies - Blue
Either Brothers or people who would lend him aid. Your character wouldn't necessarily have to be a friend or really know him at all, as long as they're the kind of a character whose moral compass dictates that they'd help him in a tight spot.
Enemies - Red
Someone who has malicious intent against him, or a group of people. Think evil, corrupt.
If your character shows up as yellow, they're either assassination targets or someone he's specifically looking for. Don't worry, Desmond won't confuse the two.
Eagle Vision definitely isn't foolproof. If your character's the duplicitous sort, he or she might show up as Blue when they're actually Red. Or if they're hard to pin down, they could shift between colors, or simply blend in as White. I'd appreciate it if you could fill out the following form, so I know which color would Desmond would read your character, if any at all.

Informant/Civilians - White
People who have information to give him, or who are neither an ally or an enemy. Most people show up as white, so if your character doesn't lean strongly to either side, then I'd say go with white.
